Perfect for an overnight stay near Dartmoor

Staying overnight near Dartmoor on our way from Bath to Cornwall. Choose the Cridford Inn from an advertisement on English Country Inns and the review on Trip Advisor. We booked the Nest, which was perfect for us as we wanted a separate bedroom for our young daughter. As we were staying on Sunday night the kitchen was closed but we were offered fish and chips which was excellently cooked.

A lovely stay in a lovely quiet setting

Having had to move all our planned spring and summer breaks into 2021 as a result of Covid19, we were desperate to grab a short break away before winter! Only booked a few weeks ago it was a great find, a lovely quirky and very old pub with comfortable and quiet bedrooms. A bit of a challenge to find, although directions on the website are spot on, we were lucky with some fantastic September sunshine and were able to explore a little although our main aim to unwind was well met.

A perfect surprise 80th birthday treat for a good friend was made very special.

This visit was planned as a surprise party for our friend. The location was perfect for people arriving from different locations and it was easy to find even if the roads were narrow! We were there to celebrate a special 80th birthday and the only day we were all available was a Sunday and the restaurant stayed open for us and the chef cooked a special birthday cake (which was delicious). The selection of gins was mindblowing the bar food was great and everyone made us feel very special.
